Elementor is one of the easiest page builders for WordPress. No need to learn coding or difficult software. If you’ve ever worked with page-editing software like Beaver Builder, Squarespace, or any other drag and drop software, this will be easy to pick up.
It is a WYSIWYG editor, which means that you can see the changes you are making in real time. This makes it easy to use, even for people who are not familiar with coding. Elementor also comes with a library of templates and widgets, so you can get started quickly.
In short, WYSIWYG stands for “what you see is what you get.” This means that the changes you make in Elementor will be reflected during your page building sessions and reflected on the live page when you publish (no backend code needed).
Like learning any new skill, there’s a bit of a learning curve. BUT don’t let this discourage you as the basics are easy to grasp and no coding is required.
The time required to learn Elementor stems from the what and specifics that you’d like to create. You could spend days, weeks, even years going through every free Elementor pdf or course on the internet but this might drive you crazy with the amount of time spent piecing information together.
One of the best ways to learn Elementor, and many other things I would argue, is sitting down with an expert and having them show you how it’s done. You could join an online course, or find a video tutorial on YouTube, but these can be quite long and drawn out and might not tailor to your exact needs.
The other way to learn is by using the trial and error method. This is where you sit down and just start playing around with Elementor. There is a powerful free version so you don’t have anything to lose. You might not learn everything this way, but you will at least get a feel for how it works and what it can do.
If you want to learn Elementor the fastest way possible, I recommend finding an expert who can sit down with you and show you the ropes. But if you’re on a budget, or you prefer to learn at your own pace, then using the trial and error method is perfectly fine.
This space here represents a collection of Elementor lessons and frequently asked questions that I’ve received over the years. I also offer online tutoring lessons for Elementor if you want to move faster. Feel free to get in touch or book a call and I’d be glad to learn more about your particular situation.
No! You do not need to know how to use any custom coding in order to use Elementor with WordPress. Once you’ve mastered the basics you can, if you feel inclined to, add custom CSS or animations to the site but there is absolutely no need to start off in the deep end.
I definitely recommend taking a course, getting an Elementor tutor or finding online resources to help supplement your learning. However you learn best is the way I would choose for Elementor. There are a lot of components to Elementor as a beginner and sometimes getting pointed in the right direction goes a long way.
If you already have a WordPress theme, free or premium, Elementor will certainly work with it.
If you don’t already have a theme that’s not a problem at all, in fact I would say it’s even better as Elementor is versatile and should be built to your end goal.
Whether you want to build an entire site from scratch or simply build a blog and landing page, you’ve come to the right place.
I’d be happy to give you a demo with Elementor so you can see what’s behind the scenes of this powerful software.
Great question. Most sites will be able to utilize the basic (and free) version of Elementor but there are a few scenarios in which the additional “elements” (customizable blocks within WordPress) are better suited for the Pro version. I’d be glad to demo the difference or even help you build your first page in the demo session. This entire site was built using the Pro version of Elementor.
The first mini crash-course session is only $15 for a 20 minute session. Feel free to bring questions and we can chat about anything you’d like.
In this intro session, I’ll get a sense of how to best tailor any future lessons for you and we can even begin answering some of your initial WordPress questions.
No, there are no contracts, expectations or hidden charges on my end. Think of me as a guy who likes to chat about creative website builds and you can bounce any questions about Elementor or WordPress off my brain. I’m here to point you in the right direction and take you from beginner (or no knowledge at all) to an advanced user who can build and edit pages all on your own.
Questions and projects welcome.
